I intend to make my summer before college an adventure. Mark my words. 2013, come faster.

Books, books, books.

Currently in the process of reading two books:

  • Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. I’m sure everyone’s familiar with the story from either the book itself or the movie adaptation. (Reading it for school requirement.)
  • The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick. (My independent reading material.)

Both two completely different books that I’m absolutely in love with at the moment. I can’t seem to put either of them down. Definite recommendations.

Standardized tests.

It seems like the idea of college is becoming more of a reality. I have recently signed up to take the SATs in a little less than a month. I have also been relying on many studying materials, College Board, practice tests, SAT prep books…, just to give me some sort of reassurance.

It’s funny to think that people are, in a way, allowed to judge your intelligence by a stupid standardized test, when, in my opinion, is not a right way to test your knowledge. I don’t need to know a hundred vocabulary words, find the correct angle of x on a triangle, or find the errors within a sentence to prove my intelligence.

The whole education system seems so flawd to me. But, what is one to do but simple take them?

Let the pressure begin.

Michelle Williams was very insecure about her body when she was so pregnant, so Heath Ledger would often put padding under his shirt to appear pregnant as well in hopes of making his wife feel better. This photo was taken the first time Heath did this.

I feel like I’ve disappointed so many people. But most importantly, I feel like I’ve disappointed myself. I feel like a complete failure. Wow.
